It is perfect. The weight has a good feel to it; it is not too light/thin and seems to be well made. I haven't washed it yet and will update this review if it shreds after washing. I will mention this... the color of the flowers look like a solid dusty rose/pink from the image online. HOWEVER, after receiving the package I would say they are more peachy than pink... which is fine for my needs. But I wished I had waited to match sheets until after I got the quilt and seen the peachy color instead of the solid dusty pink rose I had thought it was. There are actually two different colors in the flowers... a peach center with a pink trim... and the overall look it gives is more peachy/salmon instead of a dusty rose/pink. I can't really comment on sleeping with it since it's in our guest room, but I imagine it would be very comfortable with a blanket (like a velux blanket) between the top sheet and the quilt.
