They are a more of a mauve-rose-purplish color (very hard to describe the color-NOTHING like the picture). I purchased for my daughter's room so the color wasn't a big issue with her but if they were for me, I'd have returned them because of the color and chose something more neutral. They are very soft, very comfortable, and overall very nice. They say right on the description that they are 100% egyptian cotton but are actually made of micro fiber yarns. I am very picky about my sheets but I was very happy with how they felt and how they washed. Came out of the dryer without a wrinkle and went on beautifully. Also, it's 1500 TC as the title says, not 1000 TC as stated in the description (I was ok with either). I ordered two sets in the same color for my daughter's new bed.Disclaimer: I don't usually order items without reviews, but I'm glad I did this time.
